Castle
DESCRIPTION
My First Demo Reel Piece. I created it using the first early access version of Unreal 5. This project was a blast to create, I used a mix of baking and high poly objects to get my detail, making use of Nanite and Lumen. I am responsible for almost all aspects of this project, barring some of the vfx, Megascans models and skybox.

Castle Bricks
A Large part of this project was the castle, I tried various methods of Megascans/Mixer but none of them felt correct for the castle so I created my own texture in Substance Designer.

Substance designer gave me the freedom to create the shape and size of bricks that I wanted. It also gave me a height map which I could then use in Zbrush to create actual geo on my castle, taking advantage of Unreal 5's new Nanite features.

Full Moon
Another aspect of this scene that was imperative was the moon. I got this from a tutorial on youtube by underscore, and then modified it to fit my needs for the project.
